Gavin didn't like being brown, beige and boring so he added sequins, beads, petals, stickers and much more to his shell until he became the world's first glamour snail! Whilst searching for food one day, the snails wandered a bit too far from home and couldn't figure out how to get back, luckily for them Gavin was there leaving a sparkly trail behind him which they followed all the way back home. Author Biography

Louise McGettrick is a former children’s book author, having wrote three Middle Grade titles under her maiden name Louise Arnold: The Invisible Friend, The Ghost School and A Good Day for Hunting. They were translated into many languages and received international praise through reviews from The Sunday Times, School Library Journal and Booklist, as well as winning the Parent’s Choice Award and being nominated for Nutmeg Book Award and Bolton Children’s Book Award among others. Along with her children’s books, Louise is also the creator for the internationally recognised Fugglers brand of soft toys.
