Author Biography
With incredible knowledge, obvious passion, and a warm, friendly personality, Laura Romeo has become one of the best-known 'faces' of barbecuing across Australia and New Zealand. Laura is one of the few individuals the Weber international organisation recognises as a Weber Grill Master. She's the only female and the very first in the Southern Hemisphere to achieve that title. This is not an honour handed out lightly. It requires at least four years of effort to secure the necessary depth of knowledge across food science, butchery, culinary trends, product training, and more. The Grill Master title also involves at least 1,000 hours of dedicated barbecuing across the Weber range, all of which is officially logged, including extended training at Weber HQ in Chicago. Her love and passion for barbecuing continue to grow by the day. "It's a very rare day when I don't barbecue at work or at home - it's something I truly enjoy. Food always brings people together, and I love that barbecuing is for everyone. Plus, to put it quite simply, barbecued food tastes better," says Laura Romeo.
