Reviews

' Dad's old farm hat and knife - in its well - worn leather sheath - have pride and place in my little mudbrick home. The sweat line on his hat brings back memories of him working on the family farm. These mementoes on the mantlepiece make a house into a home. The creators of this book would encourage you to dig up the rusty wheel in the back paddock and find it has as much charm and appeal as the grand chandelier in the hallway.

It's about connecting to your surroundings and creating a comforting home. Curl up in your favourite chair and be inspired.

I really enjoyed how this book celebrates and values the character and love that goes into rustic homes. The photos are stunning, and what really made it special was how it focussed on the little things, the familiar objects, old treasures, and the stories behind them. It was a great read and has inspired me to share more of our own family treasures.
